Boquete
A glorious night of no AC and 60F temps. We did schoolwork and went for a walk to explore the town. It turns out that Panama has the most Chinese immigrants in all of central America and has lots of Chinese restaurants. We went to one a block away for some dumplings. We ended up ordering some dim sum type food ($17). The kids approved and wanted another serving of dumplings (6 for $3). Our campground is at the beginning of town and hence downhill and it was a gradual uphill to the rest of town. There are a lot expats living here. It is clean and has a sidewalk. We stopped at a gelateria for some gelato and Christine had a coffee ice cream affogato. We stopped at a coffee shop with some museum displays. There is an expensive coffee called geisha that we might buy. We waited for over an hour for Dd to get a haircut. People kept cutting ahead of us. But it was $10 and he got a star on his side. It started to rain heavily on our way back and we had to duck under some cover until it let up. We spent the rest of the day in the RV letting our jackets drip dry under the awning. It is marvelous not having to use AC.
