Driving to Panama City
We had an appointment to get our front end alignment done in David at 9 am and they got us in quickly and were finished in 30 minutes and we didn't even get out of the RV. The kids slept through the whole process.
We had a long day of driving. Google predicted 6 hours and it wasn't off. We stopped for a couple hours for lunch. We stopped at a place long haul buses stop at and had food meal. The kids had spaghetti Bolognese, Christine chicken soup, and I had fried chicken. The fried chicken doesn't look like much but it kicks the Colonel's butt. The soup is delicious as always. $27 including drinks.
The road was good and there were some rolling hills. We hit some traffic as we approached Panama city. Suddenly we were on a bridge with the Miraflores locks in sight. Amazing feat of engineering.
We drove to the Marriott by Albrook mall because they had parking for our RV and close to a few locations that we need to go to.
The hotel is so nice, but not cheap.
The hotel has its own entrance to the mall and we had dinner in the food court. It is a sprawling mall not unlike a massive airport terminal. The occupancy seems to be less than half similar to the other mall we went to a few days ago. The food court was busy. The kids wanted McDonald's and Christine had a couple steaks over rice and plantains. $24 for all. The kids played in a bounce house for 30 minutes and we went back to the room. Tomorrow is Halloween and we have made some plans but we also need to go prepare for shipping.
