Nicest Starbucks we have ever been to

PXL_20241006_164923355 PXL_20241006_172221228.MP We homeschooled here all morning until past noon. Kids selling trinkets come in and sell their wares and were curious to what our kids were doing and picked up and looked at the collections of pens and markers and pencils in the pencil/pens case. These kids should be in school but different circumstances and fate. PXL_20241006_185129843.MP PXL_20241006_185747133
We walked over to the Antigua Guatemalan Cathedral ruins and Ellie spied a barn owl. PXL_20241006_190421939 PXL_20241006_190438094.MP
There were a couple basement rooms we halfheartedly explored. Ellie was the first to leave each time and I quickly followed her. We went back to Japanese food at Kabuki. Their menu is great and we wanted to have the unagi bowl since the unagi was so good at Bacalar, but they were out of eel. More tempura shrimp for the kids and Christine had a teriyaki chicken bowl, and I had chicken karaage ($28 usd for all). We went to a supermarket to get some groceries and Dd wanted a toy he earned for school stuff. PXL_20241006_213358568.MP
There were fake transformers toys that were out of his price range so we went to the mercado and he settled on a fake Lego Ninjago mini figure ($2).
One of the bolts for my skid plate had come off and I asked at a hardware store but they didn't have any. PXL_20241006_212545533 PXL_20241006_212548100
brain freeze!
The weather report threatened rain but it was still warm and we got some slushees $3 for two. The skies thundered but no rain appeared for the second day in a row. Ellie and I played badminton while Dd played with his Legos. Dinner was leftovers. We leave for El Salvador tomorrow.
