Rio Dulce

It rained until midnight but the humidity was high and kept things wet in the RV. The low was only 76F the night before. I worked on the Balmar, the alternator that charged our RV batteries, and put in the recommended settings for charging our batteries with short driving days. We wanted to make it to Antigua, Guatemala, at least 10 hours away. There was a nice marina with a pool in Rio Dulce, half way there.  We stopped for some pupusas, stuffed pillows of tortillas and some fruit. We arrived around noon and paid $21 for a place to park and use their pool. The pool, most importantly, was nice. We spent the next 6 hours in the pool. I plugged in the RV to charge up the batteries, and we dropped off laundry ($17). We met some American and French Canadians cruisers. This is one of the least expensive ports so people hang out here to get work done on their boats. There were even other kids here.  Our kids had to do their school work during dinner. I am looking forward to a nice night with AC and not having to worry about the batteries. Tomorrow we will push to Antigua.
