Picking up the RV

In the morning I received a message from the shipping agent to meet at the office at 1030. Also I received the itemized bill for around $2000. At the office I met the two Chinese guys from the day before and two of the other team members. Also Nico, a French man driving down the pan American highway with his 2 kids and wife.
I got my temporary import permit and insurance paperwork which they paid for. We all went back to the port and got our hard hats and high viz vests on and waited for our escort. We then drove our cars in single file line through the scanner and weigh scales and gave them our paperwork and received a receipt and drove through. One last check by the customs agent and we were through. I handed by the hard hat and vest and the large webbing straps to the agent and went across the street to fill up gas. I wanted to fill up propane but their tanks require a magnetic key. The French man couldn't restart his car but I lent him my battery booster but then he said it started without it. He was hanging out for a couple days to sort out truck issues. One of his leaf spring suspension broke a couple days before and he wanted to get it repaired in Cartagena. Also he had to figure out the electrical problem. We exchanged info and I offered him my obd scanner if he needed it.
I went back to the condo and the security guards found a place for me to park near the gate. I checked out the RV and was pleased to find nothing disturbed. I unpacked some of the stuff I had locked away and set up starlink for Colombia because the starlink account I had before was only good for North America. The good news is that starlink in Colombia is half the price as home.
We went for a walk and Dd wanted some crepes so we stopped at crepes and waffle next door and had a late afternoon ice cream. We walked to the mall and saw Santa and then the kids played on the beach.
Back at the condo the doorman said the water in the building was not potable because it sat in a tank so I went to get some water a block away. Christine made steaks I bought a couple days ago and we had left over Chinese food. We have one more day before we leave Cartagena. So nice to have the RV back. All in all it costs $8000 to ship flat rack.
