San Blas day 5: Yansailadub to Wissudub to Panama City

Our last day in the San Blas, I went to dive for the action camera without much hope. The sun was up and we were over mostly sea grass with patches of white sand. The wind seemed to be shifting a little from last night so I would have to sweep an arc looking for the action camera. The water was around 12 feet deep. I saw a sting ray float pass. I was without my glasses. I drove again and again. Twice I reached for a dark circle but it was a spiny sea urchin. Finally just below the stairs I saw a black rectangle in the seagrass but it was showered with white sand. I reached for it and I surfaced with the camera raised in victory.
We had breakfast of fruit salad: papaya, pear, apple, and passion fruit with honey. Delicious. Bread rolls and scrambled eggs for Ellie and Christine. Dd woke up late because he took a nap during the bumpy ride yesterday afternoon. We kayaked the natural pool halfway back to the island Yansailadub and Ellie didn't want to get out and wade in the water so we paddled back to the island. The kids found a migratory tired bird to chase around. We swung in hammocks and wondered of this lifestyle. Would we see a catamaran in our future? Probably not.
We motored to the Chichime island where we started 5 days ago. It was hot and hardly any breeze. It has stopped raining a couple days ago and now we were paying the price. We jumped off the front of the boat. The kids chickened out but they jumped from the back. The seafloor was white and sandy and less threatening. A couple manta rays swam around. There were several yachts anchored. We had couscous with tomato and pork for lunch. The kids hardly ate. We swam some more and at 2pm our shuttle arrived and we went back to the mainland and the terribly mountainous road. The driver, Luis, took it slow but it was still bad. We stopped at the gas station for some chicken fingers and nachos that reminded me of movie theaters when I was young. We made it back to the Marriott at 5 and drove to our Airbnb missing a couple turns. We were able to park in front of the condo which was on the 19th floor and brought our stuff inside. We had to do laundry and get the van ready for shipping from Colon tomorrow at 10am.
We started a load of laundry and went to get some milk and bread from the shop next door and found fast food Chinese a couple blocks away. We had 18 dumplings, beef and mustard greens, and fried tofu with chives and pork ($50). It was delicious. There was a robot server there. We had seen one in Taiwan 11 months ago. We brought the food back to the Airbnb and the kids watched YouTube. It was great to take a shower and be in air-conditioning. Dd said he needed a jacket. We finished packing for shipping. We will be here for four days to get us through the shipping date.
