Drive to Cocora Valley

Another long day driving after breakfast this morning. It was only interrupted by lunch at a road side restaurant. We had chicken, sausage, yucca, soup, rice, and two drinks for $10. The food was fantastic too. Colombia cuisine continues to impress.

We were on a narrow downhill road until we hit the tollway which was magnificent but cost around $24 to get to the valley. We arrived just before sunset and in time to take some nice photos before dinner. The weather outside is actually cool at this cloud forest. It was 91 F at lunch for comparison. Tomorrow weather permitting we hike to see the wax tree palms, the tallest palm trees in the world, and the national tree.
