Filandia

We got up before the restaurant opened and I was able to fill up the water from a sink faucet and dump the cassette. I also dropped off laundry for the day around the corner and we opened the gate and headed out for the day.
Christine wanted to take a basket weaving class in a town close by, Filandia. It was a 35 minute drive to the cute town with a square and colorful balconies and doors.
It cost $34 for the four of us. Interestingly the kids cost a little more because they need more instruction and time. Dd decided it was too complicated and he was too embarrassed to participate. I did his basket for him. It was pretty awesome, I was surprised to find. We had starter baskets already set up and we just continued the weaving and kept going. I wonder if the wicker furniture from Costco is made by hand or machine.
We grabbed lunch and the kids didn't like their choices. I had a schwarma but it was kind of a burrito. Christine asked for a tostada but they gave her steak. It was still only $16 for lunch.
From Filandia we were only 10 miles from Price Smart but a 48 minute drive but we ran out of dumplings so we headed there. We bought $100 of food and headed back to the restaurant where we camped.
We picked up the laundry and I bought some chicken for Christine and we had left overs and dumplings and I ordered a savory crepe and sweet crepe. The savory crepe was unnecessary so it went into the fridge.
This camp site has been great. There is water and toilet and it's in town and safe. We will head south tomorrow. We have a couple long days ahead of us.
