Guatape
In the middle of the night a car pulled up in front of us with its speakers thumping bass and we had to close up all the windows and turn on the AC fan to drown out the noise. Other than that, it was a great night. In the morning the kids played throwing rocks in the water and playing on a sand pile. Ellie accidentally hit Dd in the back of the head with a rock and there was blood and tears but a few minutes of pressure and the bleeding stopped. Tables and chairs were brought out and we had some crackers and cheese and nuts and oranges. They were planning on leaving by noon but it wasnt until past 3 that they left. I dropped off some laundry a block away and picked up some groceries while the kids played. Eventually when we all started packing up we decided to head to the great rock of Guatepe and do the hike. There were so bungee trampolines at the parking lot but minimum age was 10 so Dd did not get to try it out.We climbed the stairs from. The base of the rock below the parking garage and paid $11 to hike the 650 steps to the top. We took obligatory photos and had some frozen treats and descended quickly. We drove to the city parking lot to find some dinner but the Asian restaurant was having a private event so we got some pizza, soup, and steak ($32).
