The kids started with breakfast as usual and I went about dumping the cassette toilet. I asked the owner if I could dump the toilet in their toilet but they said no. She directed me to a steam office the cliff in the backyard. I showed her the cassette and she said yes, in the stream but to watch out because it was slippery and steep. I made a mental note not to go swimming streams and rivers.
For recess we went to the square and picked a table and ordered a Milo shake, hot chocolate, frozen passion fruit iced, and soursop juice ($4.50)
We had a lot of leftovers in the RV so Christine and I ate leftovers and the kids had dumplings from Price Smart followed by more homeschool. Christine made some hot chocolate with cheese from a brand we saw in the store. It was great. In the afternoon we went to a bird reserve a few blocks away and saw a pretty red bird, an Andean cock of the rock. There were several people there taking photos at the male display trying to attract a female. There were about 10 of the birds making noise and dancing. We never saw a female, so I don't know if it was for nothing. When we went back to the RV, and expat family asked about the RV. They had 2 kids around the same age as ours so the kids played around and wanted to look inside the RV. Well they went upstairs and took a dump in the toilet and threw toilet paper in the toilet which is a no no. So I had to rinse out the cassette a couple more times and I never saw the paper so hopefully it doesn't clog the cassette mechanism. Good times. Nothing like a stranger off the streets pooping in our rv.
We had leftovers for dinner and went back to the square and ran into the family again and spent the next couple hours letting the kids run around. The expats had been in Columbia for two years in Medellin. The were in town for provincial Olympics of sorts for their oldest child which explained all the kids in school track suits We had seen all over town. We walked back to the RV after trading numbers.
