Swiss wassi campground
We stayed in place today. And so did the French neighbors so their kids could play. They said they have not been to any campgrounds like this on their way north in the last 6 months. We chatted with both Manuel and Katy, the German couple and Quentin and Alison the French couple (kids Rominy and Paul) in between various tasks. I filled up Manuel and Katy's water tank with filtered water. He shared their cacao and panela and self roasted walnuts and almonds. He roasted his own coffee beans and carried two large bags of dried but uncooked beans in his garage from Ecuador. His RV is really nice. But he says the quality is not good like post covid RVs in America are hit or miss.
I worked on fixing the shower pan crack with epoxy and silicon. It was good to have the communal bathrooms to be so clean so the epoxy could set.
The kids played in the pool and in the sand. Dd played with Noah, the boy from Lima with his parents. They are rich because they were just at Disney world in Orlando for the holidays and last year they went to Legoland in Orlando and bought real Legos which are too expensive in Peru. The mom said Crocs charms are cheap in America, only $1 compared to $10 in Peru.
The French twins Rominy and Paul followed Ellie around all day. They played Legos that Christine put out.
Alison and Quentin sat with us for a while to tell us of places south and we gave tips for the Galapagos. They visited the Amazon in a couple places and camped under mosquito nets. They also did a long 7 hour hike to Laguna H69.
Noah asked if we were leaving tomorrow and I said tomorrow and he asked what time.
It has been great camping here and it would be too easy to stay but Nico and Pauline, the French family we hung out with at Guatape may meet up with us two days from now on the coast.
