Ellie's birthday in Salta
Ellie had a list for her birthday tasks. First was rat a donut for breakfast but that proved difficult with any donut shops that were open because of a four day weekend in town. She opted for cookies which were so so. Next was to get boba tea. We went to a food court at a mall close by and bought some bad boba. They had baos too which we bought and Christine had a chickpea bread that Argentinians place on a pizza.
The prices at the mall were outrageous but reflected the terrible inflation they have had. Children dolls for $130. Ten pack of plastic hangers for $10. Needless to say the parking lots were not full. Ellie did get a new swimsuit for $16. Next we went looking for a trampoline park. The first one we went to was busy with birthday parties and they asked us to come back after 9pm or return tomorrow before 3pm. The second one was open and the kids played there for a couple hours.
Next we went to a cake shop and bought her a cake. Then we went back to the campground to swim. The kids wanted ramen in the RV so Christine made dinner. A Brazilian pulling a Winnebago arrived. They were on a short 5 day trip. A Swiss couple in defender with a rooftop tent arrived as well. And Marcus the Brazilian returned with his wife.
We had the cake and it was good. A lot of sugar. Tomorrow we will hang out here again so I can work on the RV since Cafayate will be packed with tourists and that is our next destination. Happy birthday, Ellie!
