Antarctic Peninsula

We arrived at Mikkelson Harbor and the first zodiacs were heading out around 850am. Fortunately we were the last zodiac at 1025am. We had breakfast and got suited up in our cold weather gear and went down the mudroom to put on boots, parkas, and life vest. The wind was 30kts and blizzard conditions with snow. Dad didn't go on this excursion and Christine almost didn't. Visibility was poor and we could not see the landing zone from the ship. As we drew closer we could see gentoo penguins hopping around and sliding down the slopes. There was one fur seal. There were a lot of whale bones scattered around. We walked their designated path and then headed back. I didn't take as many pictures because the wetness and coldness interfered with the screen functions.
We made it back to the ship and were happy we made a landing on Antarctica.
We went to have lunch and the kids played in the snow on the back decks and we threw snowballs at the zodiacs.
We had another planned zodiac cruise in the afternoon but it ended up being cancelled because of the wind and time.
I played trivia in the lounge and had some tea.
The kids love hanging out in the sauna and the gym. It is fun to ordered non alcoholic drinks from the bar for free and eat snacks at the coffee bar.
We had dinner and the kids passed notes back and forth with Wyatt. I had Caesars salad with rib eye again.
Adi, our waiter showed the kids some magic tricks.
