Buenos Aires
We had a good night sleeping despite the weak AC. We left winter and came back to summer. I wanted to do laundry here but the machines were coin operated however no one has coins with recent inflation and there is no price on the machines so I am not sure how to get them to work; furthermore the hotel management company I had been texting did not know how much money it cost. They just told me go to a Chinese grocery store. They also told me that everyone uses the laundromat down the street but the laundry would not be done until evening. They said they could get it rushed and done by 4pm.
Traffic was packed in the morning and the sun was shining and there were a few customers in cafes.
There are cafes all over this neighborhood. The places are not busy however because of the inflation. Last week there had been protests by pensioners getting their pensions decreased and soccer hooligans came out in their support and clashed with police. Now there were barricades around the government building.
The kids did homeschool and when it was time for lunch we wandered over to Chinatown. They went into a couple grocery stores and went to get some Chinese hot pot.
