Drake Passage

The southern ocean has a westerly wind that blows a current that is mostly unobstructed by any land mass and gets funneled into the Drake Passage between Tierra del Fuego and the Antarctic peninsula. On our way down we experienced the Drake shake and we were told we were lucky heading north but it was still quite "swelly". As it turns out, Dad, Dd, and I felt the effects and Christine, Mom, and Ellie did not.
The kids did homeschool after a late wake up after a late night out enjoying the crew talent show.
We had lunch with Little Rich. It turns out he likes to chase worlds firsts. He kayaked down the Mississippi river and later Seattle down to California and the did a great loop from the Great lakes down the Mississippi to Florida and up the eastern seaboard to the st Lawrence river. He plans on swimming from the Missouri river next year.
Ellie spent most of the day playing with Wyatt.
Dad and I skipped out of dinner because we felt so sick. I started off in the dining room but went back upstairs soon after. I hung out in his room and watched master and commander. I ordered him room service and he had half a burger. There was farewell with the crew and officers that I missed out of because I was waiting outside the restroom while Dad was trying to vomit.
We will arrive a day early in Ushuaia in order to avoid a storm in the Drake.
