Reserva Loberia de Punta Loma

We slept well and the kids played even though sand blew everywhere. We talked with Mindy and Griff and decided to go check out the sea lions colony near by only a couple minutes down the road.
This time of year the seal pups are swimming with their moms looking for food. The tide was high and the beach was initially tiny and only one sea lion was there but as the tide receded more and more lions came back to shore after feeding in the waters. Gulls dove for fish and their white bellies made them look like penguins.
Mindy and Griff had to go get their laundry and fill up on water and we had to buy groceries so we left each other for a couple hours. We stopped to dump the cassette at a restroom at the reserva. We went to Puerto Madryn to buy some groceries and met back at the same campsite an hour later. It was still windy but we finally managed to get rid of almost all of the flies. This had been the worst 24 h for flies in recent memory in the RV. They came in at Playa Orengo when we left that beach. Christine made dinner and ate it outside with our friends and the kids ran around finding treasures and then arranged them for display to sell them us. The other kids remained hidden and shy except the oldest, Jack, who sat and talked with us. Eventually it became too cold and windy to stay out and we retreated back inside and closed up the loft and the windows.
The kids did homeschool and we got ready for bed. Tomorrow we will try to get laundry done and tire rotation and alignment.
