Back to Chile

It was so cold last night. It was the coldest we have had on this trip. Christine turned on the inverter to help heat up the inside this morning. There is a mixed mode that uses both batteries and propane to save propane and eventually the inverter stopped working. Oh well. We will pick up an inverter that I ordered on Amazon in Punta Arenas either today or tomorrow.
The puddles we parked around were frozen over and the kids played with them. I went to dump the toilet in the bathroom at the border which was nice. We didn't take showers last night so we didn't have to dump gray water.
We headed to the border and ran into a motorcycle couple from the UK that our Aussie friends Ken and Carol Duval know, Mad or Nomad.
The border was easy and we continued to the Chile side and didn't declare anything and they searched but didn't find anything to take. We hid some broccoli in the loft. We didn't have much. Christine cut up apple and banana and avocado so then it's ok for some reason.
We had a nice drive to the ferry stopping to make ramen for the kids and then drove to Punta Arenas. We stopped at a Lider supermarket at a mall and the lines were huge and the prices were cheaper than Argentina. The kids played in the playground. We forgot to weigh the produce so it was kind of a failed shopping experience since that had to go back. We decided to camp where we were parked for the night. After dinner I took Dd back to the mall to play on the playground and he made two friends.
