Carretera Austral day 3: Cochrane to Puerto Rio Tranquilo

I woke up at 7am to finish my taxes. I worked on it for a couple more hours and finished at 10am.
The kids played outside for a bit and climbed a slope and we headed off north.
We made it to Cochrane and tried to find some pizza but everything was closed. We found a small grocery store and stocked up on some more snacks. We filled up gas and water and continued on north stopping at an overlook for a confluence of the Rio Baker and Chacabuco and later on the more impressive Rio Baker and Rio Neff. The water was a vivid blue at the Rio Baker from the glacial silt.
We continued on and stopped at Puerto Rio Tranquilo. There are boat tours that head out to see polished marble caves from waves and I wanted to book a tour for tomorrow so we arrived here just before 7pm and the offices were still open and I went to the first person and I was able to book the tour for $80 for the four of us at 9am. The temperature will be around 36F so we will be wearing Antarctic gear again.
The town had a few cozy looking restaurants with customers so it is the most lively town on the Carretera Austral so far.
