Carretera Austral day 4 to Villa Cerro Castillo
We had a 9am boat tour scheduled and the sun rose at 830am and we put on our Atlas Cruise wear and went out to the boat. It was 2.5 h tour and the waters were pretty flat and it was worth the money but if the short tour was available I would have taken it. There are only so much of the marble caves that you can take. There are limestone rocks that are slowly being worn away by waves. This whole area was under the ocean 300 million years ago.
We got back to the van and let the kids play on the playground for a bit before heading off.
We drove to Cerro Castillo where pavement showed up and stayed and there was a Copec gas station that had a dedicated motorhome dump and clean area with gray/black water dump and a sink and fresh water. It was all free. I found this amazing and it made my day. I hope there are more of these on the road.
We checked for pizza and found a place with pizza and it was open. This was another first so far on the Carretera Austral. The pizza was good and Christine had a bunless burger and there were good fries which is also uncommon.
