Eze all day
We woke up to flurries blowing in the morning at Ushuaia. Dd woke up to $6 and some brown sugar crystals from the tooth fairy, his four visit from the fairy on this trip. The vehicles were covered with snow but the pier was wet. We had to vacate the rooms by 8am and the ship by 840am.
We went downstairs and gave away a couple more tip envelopes and had breakfast. Greg, the cruise director, gave Dd a penguin stuffy after Christine had been asking about getting one for Dd before the end of the cruise. The shop was closed while in port and would not open up again for us. Little Rich came by to say goodbye. The kids gave hugs to so many crew and passengers.
We were handed our boarding pass on the bus and our luggage went straight to the plane without the tedious checking in process.
The plane was mostly Atlas crew and passengers with a handful of non Atlas customers and 3 hours later we landed in Buenos Aires with many hours to wait. It was 130pm when we arrived and 2pm when we got the luggage. Check in for my parents flight was at 5pm and luggage storage was $25 for a large suitcase for 6 hours. Daily parking was $42. It would take an hour to get to downtown or Chinatown so we decided to stay put. Dad chose McDonald's for late lunch and we sat in there until it was time to check in. They sell a quadruple patty burger for $17. They are small patties though. A homelessly looking man kept eyeing me and sure enough he asked for money. Mom gave him the unopened sandwich from the flight and he didn't eat but sat there eyeing other customers. There are a few homeless people sleeping at the airport.
We checked Mom and Dad in and we said goodbyes as they passed through security check. I still had 10 hours until my flight.
I walked around and realized there wasn't priority pass lounge at the domestic terminal so I had another McDonald's meal.
I went through security check at 1am and started nodding off at 2am. In all I probably had a couple hours of sleep before I arrived in Ushuaia.
