We headed out after the kids played a little outside and I dumped the cassette and headed to the town of Concordia on the banks of the Uruguay River across from Uruguay. Chatgpt recommended getting cash for the Iberia wetlands and gave me areas downtown to change money. We didn't arrive until 230pm and siesta usually starts from 2pm to 4pm. We parked in the streets after filling up gas and I walked the empty pedestrian street of Entre Rios and went around the block and found a Cambio, money changing store. The rate was 1150, the blue dollar rate, and I exchanged some money and walked back to the RV and we went to a playground so the kids could play. We then went to a shop selling chipa, which I read was a cheesy roll made from tapioca flour. We had some in the Amazon and in Ecuador and read that it was a popular bread in Paraguay. We bought 15 rolls and they were delicious. Cheesy and chewy.
We then headed out of town to find a camp spot. There was a YPF gas station 40 km north of town with a dump station and three parrilla grill restaurants close by.
There was a massive Canadian expedition truck at the motorhome spot and we parked next to it and dumped and filled. The hat trick again! Three suv with rooftop tents pulled up and seemed to want my spot. There were four parking spots next to the water spigot and had four power outlets. I drove off and we went to the only parrilla that was open. It was like a cracker barrel inside with candy and snacks and toys for kids and then stuff to make it look like a parrilla place or estancia. The prices were ok $20 for a steak so we had dinner there. The kids shared a burger and loved it and finished the burger which has only happened a couple times on this trip. Christine had a chorizo steak whatever that is. We drove back to the gas station but all the spots were full so we parked at the gravel lot in front of another restaurant. It was warm today and reached 76F. Tonight would be 53F which is a new high too.
