Cuidad del Este day 3
A colder than expected night and I had to break out the sleeping bag again in the middle of the night to stay warm. It is good camping weather; warm days and cold nights.
Last night the propane worked for heating the water so I think washing the mud out of the regular vent worked. It just needed to dry out.
Today was a day for running errands. We drove all over town. We first went to get an oil change for $70 for full synthetic. I had bought many oil filters for the RV in Mexico since this is not a common engine in Latin America. We then went to drop off laundry for same day service. We then went to register for camping permit on the Ipaitu hydroelectric dam camping area. Then we went to pick up some medicines at the pharmacy; they are relatively inexpensive and available in Paraguay, and stopped to pick up some road side fruit. We went to the campground which was great. The kids rode their scooters and inline skates. We had dinner and then went to pick up the laundry after sunset and stopped to pick up groceries. We will try to go to visit the dam tomorrow. It is the second largest dam in the world. And the kids Brazil visas were accepted today so we will be able to go to Brazil.
