Flat tire!

I noticed the flat tire while filling up the fresh water and started to get ready to swap it with it spare; no easy feat considering I have to drive the RV on to 4 maxtraxx boards to get it high enough to use our jack which was meant to fit the RV when we had a 3" lift, which we had removed in Lima, Peru because the CV axle leaked for the second time in a few months. I tried to loosen the lug nuts but they were way too tight despite the breaker bar I had brought. I decided to pump up the tire and it held pressure and we loaded up everything again and drove to a tire shop in town. They were called "gomeria" in Paraguay and Argentina but in Brazil they are called "borracharia". Meanwhile the kids found some monkeys playing in the trees and eating jackfruit. They were busy fixing another customer's tire and said they would get to me in 5 minutes. We were barely parked off the street but they got the tire off with their breaker bar and patched and us back in the road so quickly. It only cost $6. I tipped the worker another $2.50.
We went to celebrate by getting more Chinese food. Foz do Iguacu is a much more developed area compared to Cuidad del Este and Puerto Iguazu, the Paraguayan and Argentinian sides of the three borders region. The streets are cleaner and groomed and buildings are newer and nicer.
The dumplings were hand made and very good. Christine ordered "Korean style beef" which I assumed meant bulgogi but it was not bulgogi and there was nothing Korean about the dish. It came to $38 and we had leftovers.
Christine wanted to pick up some acai on the way out of town.
We headed out of town towards the coast which will take maybe two and a half days. We saw rolling hills of corn fields after corn fields. It was beautiful and Cotawaldian.
We stopped at a gas station rest area for the night. Other truckers have outdoor kitchen set ups and a couple sat to have dinner. There are service bays on the diesel pump lane in the gas stations. We bought some stuff after perusing the supermarket. The had a good butcher area and samples of cured meats and I bought some. They had vats of pork lard and season salt and all the tools for BBQ. And some massive pine nuts.
