Garopaba day 2
In the morning the weather was so nice and there were so many kids at the campground having a birthday party and the kids were having such a great time, we decided to stay out.
I tried to replace a daytime running light but, as I learned, the plastic mount had melted due to the heat and it is a known problem and I will have to fix it when I return home.
I did some stuff on the computer backing up photos and the kids played at our camp and then at the playground and then other camps. Christine walked to town and found some churros.
We spoke to a couple other campers. One family was from Spain and had been in the Americas for at least 8 years and their son was born in the Chiapas area. The mom's parents had been in their van for around the same time and both we at this campground. A Brazilian family had a massive Scania truck with three slide outs. The father work in the trucking business but this was not a work truck. Another couple from Brasilia was on their way to Gramado to get some work done on their RV from Santo Inacio a high end RV manufacturer.

A Brazilian camp came to ask to borrow some vinegar and we only had rice vinegar but she liked it and it worked for her mayonnaise and she gave us some potato salad which was nice.
A man in car with coolers came to sell us some bread fish filet which we bought and had for dinner and they were delicious. We don't make fish very often and had not made any on this trip. It was only $8 for a Styrofoam tray of filets.
It is pretty nice to be here and meet other campers and kids. But the weather is supposed to change in a couple days and get cold again tomorrow.
