Happy Mother's Day

It was a cold night last night with a low at 53F. There was some distant thumping music until late so we ran the AC fan. We all slept in because we were up until midnight watching a movie.
The kids made some mother's day drawings for Christine. She wanted to go to a buffet so she chose a Japanese restaurant close by, continuing our Asian food streak in Paraguay. The buffet had two ways to pay, all you can eat, or by the weight. I didn't think we would eat 2 lbs of food each so we just weighed our food. It came to $30. The food was very good. It wasn't totally Japanese but it was better than our buffet in Encarnacion last week.
We then went to Shopping Paris, a mall in Cuidad del Este. Most of the town was closed today because it was Sunday. The chaotic shopping area with small stores was closed and shuttered. We went to the top floor to play in their indoor playground area but it was too noisy for Ellie. Dd wanted to play some arcade games but most of them were not kid friendly. We spent $3.75 to play 10 games. The prices in the mall were about the same as US prices which is pretty good for Latin America where most imported goods are expensive.
We headed back to the Monday waterfall to camp. It wasn't cheap at $37 but it was relatively quiet and safe and had a playground. Camping options aren't great for the Argentinian side of the Iguazu falls and we are still waiting for the kids Brazilian visas which hopefully will arrive tomorrow. We will stay another night in Paraguay and try to stay at a free campground in a park north of town tomorrow and get an oil change and laundry done. I have hit a lot of unmarked speed bumps in the last few days and hit them hard and the brakes are squeeking.
