Mercedes
We had a slow morning and the kids played outside and did homeschool and we went back to the docks to see the capybaras. The campground has several boat trips during the day heralded by groups of tourists walking through the campground to the docks every couple of hours.
I dumped and filled and then fixed the bugwall which needed more clips to retain. The bugwall is a mosquito net with magnetic closure for the sliding door that we use. The company shipped more clips to my parents house and they brought them to us. I then adjusted the sliding door so that it was smoother and easier to shut. It has been a problem since last summer but someone posted a procedure to adjust the door a couple months ago and I finally had time to tackle it. There has not been much down time on this trip.
Our next door neighbors came over and wanted to check out our van. They were from la plata province and had a long sprinter van that they were building out for their family of 5. Another couple women came over to check out the RV.
We finally headed out and hit the road stopping at a capybara with a bird on his back picking bugs off his fur.
We made it back to Mercedes around 430 and went to drop off laundry but it would not be done until 10am tomorrow so we would have to spend the night. We filled up gas and asked about the car wash but was told to come back tomorrow morning at 9. We picked up some meats, bread, and fruits and parked at a playground for a couple hours to make dinner and have the kids play.
Our campspot was just 100m from the playground at a tourist center and old train station. It was Friday night so it could be noisy and it was. We had to run the AC fan to drown out most of the noise but a guy pulled up to show off his stereo system long enough to wake Christine and I but fortunately left before the kids woke up.
