Saltos del Monday

It was nice and cool and quiet last night. I spent the morning trying to fix the propane on the furnace after reading all the forums on the error but to no avail.
The kids did homeschool in the park. A local couple came up to us and spoke with us and invited us over to their home for a meal and to shower but we declined as they didn't speak English and it would have been painful having to hang out for so long fumbling with Google translate. My Spanish is barely passable for the first few minutes of basic pleasantries and simple questions. The husband was second generation Japanese Paraguayan and his wife was Paraguayan but had spent a year in Taiwan where she was 22. It was nice for them to come to talk to us.
We headed out to Cuidad del Este which was less than an hour away around 3pm and was able to dump our cassette and gray water along the way. We camped at the Monday waterfall. Salto means waterfall and Monday is a Guarani word which means robbed river. Guarani is the local indigenous people and Paraguay has two official languages, Spanish and Guarani.
The falls are pretty but Iguazu falls is 15 miles away.
We were able to fill water here and hiked to the bottom for the cliff and hiked back up. There were no other overlanders here so it was nice and quiet.
I was able to hear the water with electric only and it will be cold tonight in the 50s so we don't need to worry about AC. The forecast calls for cold evenings all week.
