Buenos Aires day 2
It was Father's Day and the kids gave me presents. We woke up with the sun out for the first time in a few days and surrounded by people jogging and walking their dogs. The street was closed for an open market. We wandered around and went to the playground where there were a couple Chinese families playing. Dd bought a gnome for $2 that he had wanted since Bariloche.
We took an Uber back to Chinatown for some noodles and dumplings. They were pretty good. Back to the bubble waffle place and boba tea. Then we took an Uber to one of the playgrounds we went to three months ago when it was hot.
While we were there Christine and I decided we had a few extra days that we could spend in Buenos Aires so we booked an apartment near where we had parked in the Puerto Madero area. They didn't have secure parking available but we knew street parking would be safe even if it was where we were already parked.
The kids had to use a toilet so we went to a McDonald's and I bought a hot Indian chai latte and got a restroom code. It was Father's Day and they had some free activities for the kids. The kids had their faces painted and got a gift bag with happy meal toys and coupons and Christine bought them some fries. It was pretty cold outside and I was wearing shorts and the hot chai hit the spot.
We took an Uber back to the RV and drove to the apartment and found parking right in front and checked in.
I was able to dump our cassette in the toilet in the apartment. The kids love a new place to stay.
We went for a walk outside to find dinner. The Puerto Madero area was a former container port now with condos and restaurants. There were so many places to choose from. There was an Italian restaurant that had gluten free options but they only had rooms in their basement so we decided to go to a buffet for $45/person and half for kids. It was alright but hopefully will be our last buffet for a while.
It was late and we got home around 11pm.
