Porto Alegre mall day

This is a feral Christine in her natural environment.
Today we woke up to early risers for the 5 k and 10 k race and excited people talking right next to our RV. This was around 6 am. It was cold. 52f. The Porto Alegre marathon is known for running setting their personal records because of the cold temperatures. And probably the flat roads. The race started around 7 am or so and there was a band singing and hyping people up and soon after the racers were finishing and we slowly got up and turned on the heater. Fortunately there was a long wall of portapotties that I used to dump the cassette.
There was a coin operated laundromat in the mall and I went to wash our bedsheets while the kids went and played on the playground. We went to Carrefour to buy some stuff (guava jelly and peanut butter)before we entered the expensive countries again (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile). They had lunch at the food court and I ate their left overs, half of slice of "New York" style pizza and two slices of tuna sushi and a pot stickers. The kids went back to the playground and Christine bought some more gelato. I went to fix another windows screen that broke a few days ago. It was the first one I fixed in Colombia around Thanksgiving. It didn't take too long because I had to do one of them a couple weeks ago.
Everyone came back in because it was getting cold and we went back in the mall to find a restaurant. We ended up at a parrillada and an excellent meal. roasted heart of palm. Tastes like bamboo
roasted cauliflower with cheese
rice with eggs and manioc
We went there because there was a kid play area and Dd wanted to play there. We walked around the mall a little and the kids bought some junk at the miniso type place that sells a lot of cuties trinkets one sees in Taiwan.
Not sure what this does exactly.
There was a toy store with Legos Dd played with and we went back to the RV and dumped in the grass. The security guard came over friendly and asked where we were from. He drove an electric motorcycle that runs 24h. He said it wasn't very comfortable. He was so impressed we drove from California.
