Puerto Malabrigo day 2

We ended up staying another day here since Christine was feeling too dizzy to drive anywhere. It was perfect since the kids still wanted to play with Liam and Tia.
The police officers asked us the move to another spot as we were occupying tables in front of food trucks. We did as told. Later another officer asked us to park on the street because it would be safer. We didn't do that.
We did some homeschool as Liam and Tia patiently waited for the kids to come out. When Ellie was done, she went out, and Dd followed suit even though he didn't do any homeschool.
We were parked far from the water so we carried the sand toys to the water for the kids to play for a couple hours until Ellie announced she was hungry so I went back to make lunch. We at at our tables under the awnings. It was still windy and the awnings creaked when gust came through.
We went to the park across the street and noticed a bloody scene depicted indigenous people uprising against conquistadors in statue form. I made sure the kids didn't get a good look of it.
Food carts were selling snow cones. They call them raspadillas here. I bought one for 75 cents and Christine wasn't well enough to have it and no one else wanted it so I ate it.
Pauline invited the kids to watch cartoons with their kids in their camper for an hour to keep them out of the sun. Later, when Liam went bodyboarding with Nico, Dd, Ellie, and I tried the extreme Takis which were not very extreme. They are about as spicy as spicy Cheetos. The kids were done with the sand toys and started throwing sheets of dried sand from dried puddles.
I made dinner for them and we ate leftovers around 530pm. Nico was surprised we ate so early.
Another campervan pulled up. Hans and Mia were from Germany and had bought a diy campervan in Chile and were driving for 6 months. They had two more months left and were heading back to Chile to sell the van.
Nico went to the pier and announced it was for freight and had train tracks on it. The boys played ball and wandered far from the campsite. We had them play with the LED slingshot helicopter toys before calling Dd back in for shower and bed time. Ellie was running a fever and wanted to go to bed. Christine felt good enough to finally say hello to our friends. She had kept herself under the covers for two days. We had enough water to shower which was good. I also dumped in the sand so we would have enough room in the gray water tank. I spent some time trying to get a picture of the days ahead on the coast. We will miss the Cordillera Blanca Peruvian Andes mountain range because of time and stress on the RV up and back down.
