Carretera Austral day 7 to Hornopiren

We did not drive very much today but rode on two ferries. We lined up for the ferry at 11am and boarded around 116pm and after a short ride, we drove 20 minutes and then waited for the next ferry and when we boarded for the four hour ferry to Hornopiren and arrived at 630pm. 

We did homeschool and walked around the ferry and enjoyed the fjord, waterfalls, and snowy peaks.

When we arrived in Hornopiren we filled up gas and water and found some dinner at a sushi restaurant. The rice was overcooked but we were glad to have some food for Christine that was gluten free. I tried to order a mixed fried plate but it ended up being fried sushi rolls which Dd amazingly loved while dipping in maple syrup and soy sauce. He had the chicken sushi rolls. These are not traditional flavors. Ellie did not like the sushi rolls and we had to order some chicken nuggets. Honestly the sushi rice being wrong and the soy sauce was bland and just was terrible. But not every meal is a winner. We parked on a street in town for the night.
